It’s Monarch Madness at Churchill Road. Churchill Road second graders have been making exciting discoveries the first week of school. Ms. Cheryl Bamdad’s class found six monarch caterpillars and brought them inside to share with the other classes. Mrs. Cindy Zemke’s class visited the school’s milkweed garden and found a monarch butterfly looking for good leaves on which to lay her eggs. Students in all of the classes are eagerly awaiting the transformation from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly. What a great way to start the school year.
