Pop-Up Retail Comes to Reston Station
Fresh on the heels of announcing the signing of a lease with an anchor restaurant, Comstock Partners, LC announced that their pop-up retail initiative, Urban Pop, would open this November.
Urban Pop is a unique mix of food, fashion, lifestyle and entertainment, positioned in an open-air urban landscape where locals, tourists, and passers-by will convene to explore the boutique, the creative, the adventurous, the unique and the eclectic.
Phase One (Urban Pop Shop) will consist of eight marquee glass jewel boxes that will house emerging and established artisan brands and will open to the public during Thanksgiving week.
Phase Two (Urban Pop Active), scheduled to open Spring 2016, will include an outdoor piazza entertainment area in an open concept setting, revealing oriented pathways and distinct gathering spots. Hip eateries, microbars and live entertainment will be featured in a versatile outdoor backdrop designed for all to enjoy musicians under the stars, festivals and celebrations.
“The holiday shopping season is the perfect time to open Urban Pop Shop at Reston Station, commented Maggie Parker, Comstock’s vice president of communications. “Both large and small retailers are using pop-up retail to create fresh interest and excitement to discerning consumers who are turning to artisan shopping in a quest for quality, sustainability and authenticity”.
