Lost Property - 300 Block Center St., SW, Oct. 24 between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. A citizen reported he lost his cellphone while shopping at the Vienna Farmer’s Market.
Fraud - Paddington Station 448 Maple Ave., East, Oct. 28, 3:01 p.m. A citizen reported she entered into a contract with the owner of Paddington Station to sell a car seat on consignment. The citizen reported the business has since closed and the telephone number disconnected. She was concerned she will not be able to collect the money owed to her for the sale of the car seat. MPO Smith provided her with options to collect the money.
Arrest – Drunk in Public - The Vienna Inn, 120 Maple Ave., East, Oct. 28, 4:52 p.m. Employees of the Vienna Inn reported a female customer was cussing and refusing to pay her bill. MPO Smith arrived and was informed the customer left the restaurant and was in her vehicle, parked in the parking lot. MPO Smith approached the woman and after speaking with her he determined she was intoxicated and in no condition to drive. The 38-year old woman from 33rd St., in Falls Church was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where she was charged with Drunk in Public. She was to be held until she was sober.
Missing Juvenile - Runaway - Hillcrest Drive, SW, Oct. 29 between, 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. A resident reported she let her son stay home from school due to complaining of not feeling well. She stated she went to check on him at about 10 a.m. and found he left home without permission. At approximately 10:59 p.m. the mother informed Officer Slebonick her son had returned home.
Grand Larceny - 101 Pleasant St., NW, Between Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. and Nov. 3 at 3 a.m. An employee reported that after returning from a trip to Miami, Florida she discovered several items were missing from the store safe. She stated she was unsure if the safe was locked prior to leaving for her trip. There were no signs of forced entry into the store. This case is being investigated.
Civil Case - Silva’s Patisserie, 167 Glyndon St., SE, Oct. 29, 3:16 p.m. An employee reported she had been treated unfairly by the management at the bakery. She stated the unfair treatment started with a dispute criticizing her arrangement of fruit torts and ended with her being sent home. She stated she returned and was being refused her final paycheck. She was eventually given her paycheck and informed not to return to the bakery.
Suspicious Event - Chipotle, 207 Maple Ave., East, Oct. 29, 8:19 p.m. A citizen attending the Halloween Parade reported a juvenile had sprayed the hood of her vehicle with shaving cream. She provided a description of the juvenile which was broadcast to the officers at the event. Lt. Taylor located the juvenile and returned him to the parking lot where he apologized to the woman and with a bucket of soapy water and a rag, provided by employees of Chipotle, scrubbed the vehicle to the woman’s satisfaction. The juvenile’s aunt was then contacted and responded to the area to take her nephew home.
Suspicious Event - Giant Food Store, 359 Maple Ave., East, Oct. 30, 7:28 p.m. A citizen reported she had been threatened by the driver of a parked vehicle after she approached him and informed him he was illegally parked. Officer Post responded and spoke with both individuals and due to conflicting accounts in their stories she informed the citizen she should let the Giant management handle parking problems.
Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated/Refusal - 1000 Block Park St., SE, Oct. 31, 12:22 a.m. PFC Kiley was on patrol when he observed the driver of a vehicle commit a series of traffic violations. As a result of those violations he conducted a traffic stop. Upon his interaction with the driver he detected the signs of possible impairment. After failing to complete a series of field sobriety tests he arrested the 23 year old man from Argyle Drive in Falls Church for Driving While Intoxicated. The driver was transported to the Vienna Police Station where he was given the opportunity to provide a sample of his breath for analysis which he refused. He was then transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test, Driving While Suspended, and Driving with an Open Container.
Petit Larceny - Posh, 419 Maple Ave., East, Between Oct. 31 at 4:30 p.m. and Nov. 2 at 9:50 a.m. An employee responded to the Vienna Police Station to report that five tiaras were taken from a display case.
Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated - Maple Avenue at Niblick Drive, SE, Oct. 31, 4:33 a.m. Officer Reedy was on patrol when he observed the driver of a vehicle commit a traffic offense. As a result of that offense he conducted a traffic stop. Upon his interaction with the driver he detected the signs of impairment. After failing to complete a series of field sobriety tests he arrested the 24 year old man from Dartford Drive in McLean for Driving While Intoxicated. The driver was transported to the Vienna Police Station where he was given the opportunity to provide a sample of his breath for analysis. After the analysis he was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was to be held until he was sober.
Suspicious Event - 200 Block Glyndon St., SE, Oct. 31, 5:54 p.m. A Town of Vienna employee suspected a construction worker had been stealing water from a town owned Fire Hydrant. Officer Post responded and located the worker who stated he had taken approximately 4 gallons of water from the Hydrant. He stated he did not know this was illegal. Officer Post informed the worker he was not permitted to take the water without permission.
Noise Violation - The Bey Lounge, 303 Mill St., NE, Oct. 31, 11:26 p.m. Officer Post responded to the Bey Lounge after receiving a report of loud bass emanating from the property. After speaking with the manager he immediately agreed to turn it down.
Stolen Auto - 100 Block Wolftrap Road, SE, Nov. 1 between 6 a.m. and 6:44 a.m. A resident reported someone had stolen his Ford F-150 pickup truck. He stated the truck may have been unlocked and the keys left inside. This case is being investigated.
Found Property - 200 Block Cedar Lane, SE, Nov. 1, 9:09 a.m. A resident reported he found a wallet on the sidewalk on Patrick St., SE. As Dispatcher Milliman was attempting to contact the owner, the owner of the wallet contacted the Vienna Police Station to report her lost wallet. She was informed she could respond to the police station and be reunited with her wallet.
Vandalism - 400 Block Blair Road, NW, Between Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. and Nov. 2 at 5:57 p.m. A resident reported that for the second time in two weeks the wire to his “Deer Chaser” that is mounted on his house had been cut. Officer Herrera recommended he install a motion sensor light to help deter the vandalism.
Medical Case - 300 Block Nutley St., NW, Nov. 1, 7:07 p.m. A resident reported her granddaughter was refusing to leave her house and may not have taken her required medication. After speaking with the granddaughter Officer Reedy was able to convince her to return to Maryland where she would be able to take her medication.
Police Service - The Vienna Police Station, 215 Center St., South, Nov. 2, 1:28 p.m. A citizen walked into the Vienna Police Station to request an officer serve a Protective Order against his ex-wife, who also walked into the police station. The Protective Order was explained and served.
Suspicious Event - Benjamin Moore Paint Store, 203 Maple Ave., West, Nov. 2, 1:28 p.m.
A store employee reported that a frequent customer continually says rude and inappropriate things to her. MPO Shaw recommended she avoid future contact with the customer.
Suspicious Person - Vienna Paint, 203 Maple Ave., West, Nov. 2, 4:54 p.m. An employee reported a customer entered the store and requested a gallon of Muriatic Acid. The customer then began to ask questions concerning the acid, which the employee felt were suspicious. He also stated he felt the customer may have been under the influence of something. The employee wanted to make a police report in the event the acid was used for anything other than its intended purpose.
Medical Case - Anita’s Restaurant, 521 Maple Ave., East, Nov. 2, 5:24 p.m. Officer Slebonick responded to the restaurant after a customer reported her son was threatening to harm himself. After speaking with the son Officer Slebonick was able to convince him to be taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Medical Case - Heritage Lane, NW, Nov. 2, 9:37 p.m. A resident reported her mother had become upset and was making statements that she was going to harm herself. Officer Hylinski responded to the residence and after speaking with the mother he was able to convince her to allow him to transport her to an area hospital for treatment.
Suspicious Event - 100 Block Courthouse Road, SW, Nov. 3, 8:06 a.m. The driver of a vehicle reported he was pulling out of a parking lot onto Courthouse Road, SW when the driver of a black SUV swerved around him, slammed on his brakes, got out of his vehicle and pounded on the driver’s window. Officer Post was en-route to the area when she located the black SUV and conducted a traffic stop. The driver of the SUV stated he felt he had the right of way and became upset with the other driver. Neither driver wished to pursue charges. Officer Post counseled the drivers on the seriousness of Aggressive Driving.
Police Service - 300 Block Westview Court, NW, Nov. 3, 11:52 a.m. A citizen responded to the Vienna Police Station to report an ongoing issue with her sister, who lives in the Town of Vienna. She stated her sister believes she is owed money from the sale of a business. She also stated her sister sent her a letter threatening to “Make a Scene” at her daughter’s wedding if she was not paid the money. Officer Slebonick informed her there were no specific threats in the letter and she should contact the Fairfax County Police if her sister attempts to “Make a Scene” at the wedding.
Suspicious Event - 500 Block Glyndon St., NE, Nov. 3, 3:13 p.m. A resident reported when he went to his vehicle he discovered nails had been placed by one of the tires. He stated the nails were placed in a manner that could not have been accidental.
Suspicious Event - 900 Block Cooper Court, SE, Nov. 3, 6:56 p.m. A resident reported she is having on-going problems with her brother, with whom she resides. She stated he continues to tell her to move out and states he is going to have her physically removed. Officer Herrera informed her he would have to follow the proper eviction process to have her removed and she should call the police if he tries to physically remove her.
Arrest – Trespassing/Drunk in Public - 500 Block Kingsley Road, SW, Nov. 4, 12:46 a.m. A resident reported an individual was lying face down on the path next to his residence. Sgt. Sheeran and Officer Hylinski responded and located the individual lying in the path asleep. After awakening him they determined he was extremely intoxicated. The resident stated the individual had been at his house on prior occasions attempting to locate a tenant who has not lived there in over two years. The resident stated the individual had been formally trespassed from the residence on one of those occasions. Due to his state of intoxication and the violation for Trespassing, Officer Hylinski arrested the 33 year old man from Hope Lane in White Post, Virginia. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Trespassing and Drunk in Public. He was to be held until he was sober.
Domestic Dispute - Polly Street, SE, Nov. 4, 7:08 a.m. A resident reported her daughter had become “out of control” after she took her cellphone away from her. MPO Lyons responded and was easily able to calm the daughter down and convince her to get ready for school.
Assault - McDonald’s, 544 Maple Ave., West, Nov. 4, 12:51 p.m. A customer reported he and another customer became involved in a heated argument over the demeanor and threats the customer was making towards other customers. While the two were involved in their argument two more customers joined in after hearing the threats. One of the customers picked up the customer making the threats and dropped him to the floor. The two individuals who joined in the argument left the restaurant prior to the arrival of the police. The customer who was dropped to the floor stated he did not wish to pursue charges.
Trespassing - 7-11, 427 Maple Ave., East, Nov. 4, 1:53 p.m. An employee reported a female customer was being disorderly and refusing to leave. Sgt. Farhan and PFC Tracy responded and spoke with the woman concerning the Trespass law. She agreed to comply and left without further incident.

As a result of that offense he conducted a traffic stop. Upon his interaction with the driver he detected the signs of possible impairment. After failing to complete a series of field sobriety tests he arrested the 24 year old man from Campbell Road, in Vienna for Driving While Intoxicated. The man was transported to the Vienna Police Station where he was given the opportunity to provide a sample of his breath for analysis. After the analysis he was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (2nd in 5 years). He was held on a $3,000.00 bond.
Suspicious Event - The Cedar Lane School, 101 Cedar Lane, SW, Nov. 5. 10:35 a.m. An employee reported there had been an altercation involving two students a couple days previous. He stated the school handled the matter internally. Since the altercation the one student had been making threats towards the other student involved. The employee stated he wanted a police report filed but would continue to handle the matter internally.

Beulah Road at Church Street, NE, Oct. 28, 1:32 p.m. The driver of the first vehicle was traveling westbound on Church St., NE. The driver of the second vehicle was traveling southbound on Beulah Road, NE and entered the intersection with Church St., NE against the red traffic signal. The driver of the second vehicle collided with the first vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was issued a summons for Failure to Obey a Traffic Signal.
Maple Avenue near Glyndon Street, SE, Oct. 28, 2:01 p.m. The drivers of two vehicles were traveling eastbound on Maple Avenue, SE in the same lane of travel. The driver of the first vehicle stopped due to traffic and was rear-ended by the second vehicle.
Maple Avenue near Mill Street, NE, Oct. 29, 8:39 a.m. The driver of a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Maple Ave., NE when a deer traveling southbound on the W&OD Trail entered the roadway, without having the right of way, and collided with the vehicle.
The deer was not issued a summons in this case.
Church Street at Beulah Road, NE, Oct. 29, 4:59 p.m. The driver of the first vehicle was traveling westbound on Church St., and entered the intersection at Beulah Road, NE. The driver of the second vehicle was traveling southbound on Beulah Road and was struck by the driver of the first vehicle as her vehicle entered the intersection, causing her to strike a third vehicle.
Maple Avenue at Nutley Street, SW, Oct. 30, 3:29 p.m. The driver of the same vehicle listed below, Case Number 15-010568, also crashed into a utility pole and then fled the scene. The driver was issued a summons for Hit and Run.
Center Street at Moore Street, SE, Oct. 30, 3:51 p.m. The driver of a vehicle was traveling southbound on Center St., SE when her vehicle left the roadway, struck a No Parking sign, returned to the roadway, then continued through the T-Intersection before coming to a stop after striking the guardrail. Officer Hylinski responded to the area and after speaking with the driver he detected she may have been impaired by an undisclosed substance. After completing a series of field sobriety tests the driver was issued a summons for Reckless Driving and released.
Maple Avenue near Mill Street, NE, Oct. 30, 4:37 p.m. The drivers of two vehicles were traveling westbound on Maple Ave., NE in the same lane of travel and stopped for the red traffic signal at the W&OD Trail. The driver of the second vehicle became distracted, lifted her foot from the brake and rear-ended the first vehicle.
500 Block Kibler Circle, SW, Nov. 2, 1:30 p.m. The owner of a legally parked vehicle discovered her vehicle had been struck by an unknown vehicle.
Maple Avenue at Follin Lane, SE, Nov. 4, 2:43 p.m. The drivers of two vehicles were traveling eastbound on Maple Ave., SE in the same lane of travel. The driver of the first vehicle stopped for the red traffic signal at Follin Lane, SE and was rear-ended by the second vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle was issued a summons for Failure to Pay Full Time and Attention.
Maple Avenue near Nutley Street, SW, Nov. 4, 8:15 p.m. The drivers of two vehicles had been traveling eastbound on Maple Avenue, SE in the same lane of travel. Both drivers stopped due to the red traffic signal at Nutley Street, SW. The driver of the second vehicle stated the light turned green, she pulled forward and rear-ended the first vehicle.
Park Street at Tapawingo Road, SE, Nov. 5, 4:04 p.m. The drivers of two vehicles were traveling southbound on Park St., SE in the same lane of travel. The driver of the first vehicle stopped for the Stop Sign. The driver of the second vehicle became distracted by a bug bite and rear-ended the first vehicle.
