To the Editor:
Last Tuesday, a bill was passed that blocks the EPA’s Clean Water Rule. This leaves 2 million Virginians’ drinking water affected. With 75 percent of Virginians polling in support of increased clean water protection, I have to wonder, who is this bill benefitting?
I grew up swimming, tubing, and kayaking in Virginia’s rivers and it terrifies me to think that my future children won’t have the same opportunities I had to play outside during the summer. I would like to urge Senator Warner to vote against this harmful bill and to continue to protect our state’s beautiful waterways and the health of his constituents.
