Clifton Christopher D. Brown will be attending Virginia Tech as a member of the Corps of Cadets/Air Force ROTC and majoring in meteorology starting this fall. He received an Air Force ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) scholarship which is awarded on a merit system in areas such as academic achievement, extra curricular activities, physical fitness, specific performance, leadership abilities and personal interviews.
Upon graduation, the student cadet receives a bachelor’s degree and a commission as a second lieutenant in the Air Force. All ROTC students incur a military service obligation of four years (10 for pilots) which is fulfilled by serving on active duty.
Brown is the son of Alexander H. Brown and Susan E. M. Brown of Clifton. He is also the brother of Cassidy H. Brown of Clifton and the grandson of David W. Moulton (Lt. Col., USAF Ret.) and Judith D. Moulton of Burke; Barbara F. Brown of Albuquerque, N.M., and the late Christopher H. Brown (Col., USAF Ret.).
