On a hot summer day, there’s nothing quite like a barbecue and a swim to relax and have fun. That’s exactly what happened at Seneca Hill Animal Hospital, Resort and Spa last Sunday – except that this one was for the dogs.
Seneca Hill kicked off their sixth annual Dog Days of Summer open house, which they hold as a way to celebrate their current clients and invite new ones in.
“It just gives people a chance to enjoy Seneca Hill,” said Marty Veron. “We get several passersby who stop in and can’t believe the operation.”
The dogs could enjoy unlimited play in the recently renovated play-yard, go for a swim, or cool off with some free frozen treats. Meanwhile, their owners could partake in a raffle to win several prizes including a fitbit, shop through the sidewalk sale, or enjoy hot dogs and other refreshments.
In addition to celebrating the business and their clients, Seneca Hill collects donations for the Marshall Legacy Institute, an organization that places highly trained mine-detection dogs in mine-affected countries. The Marshall Legacy Institute has donated more than 200 dogs to the cause.
