The “Greenspringettes,” residents of the Greenspring community, perform their can-can to “New York, New York.”

Frank Sinatra would have turned 100 years young on Dec. 12, 2015. On Friday, Dec. 11, over 150 members of the generation that lived and loved Frank celebrated his birthday with live music and signature Sinatra cuisine at Greenspring retirement community in Springfield.

Local performer, Billy Finch — a resident of Silver Spring, Md.— entertained as Frank Sinatra and revived Sinatra’s greatest hits, with a tip of the fedora to the Rat Pack. Included among Finch’s list of local impressive performance venues are The Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, and the White House. D.C. area media icon, Arch Campbell, once described Finch’s Frank Sinatra routine as “right on the money”.

The performance ended with surprise guests—the “Greenspringettes,” residents of the Greenspring community—performing their ever-popular can-can to “New York, New York” and a special birthday tribute to the Chairman of the Board.
