The following incidents were reported by the Mount Vernon District Police Station.
ROBBERY, 8200 block of Russell Road, April 6, 7:48 p.m. A man entered a restaurant, took merchandise and fled without payment. An employee confronted the suspect outside the restaurant. The suspect assaulted the employee and took property from him. The victim did not require rescue.
ROBBERY, 8600 block of Sacramento Drive, April 5, 12:35 a.m. The victim was walking when three men approached him. One suspect displayed a handgun and the other suspects assaulted and took property from the victim. The first suspect then fired a single gunshot into the air. All three suspects then fled on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
CHECKPOINT, Richmond Highway/Dawn Drive, April 4. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. Seven hundred and twenty vehicles passed through. One driver was charged with DWI. Five summonses were issued.
BURGLARY, 8000 block of Russell Road, March 31. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 5900 block of Mount Eagle Drive, March 25, 9:59 p.m. The victim was walking along a path of the Mount Eagle Park and was approached by four men. The suspects pushed the victim to the ground and demanded money. There were no injuries and nothing was taken. One of the suspects was described as black, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, thin build, wearing a hoodie, all dark clothing, and a scarf over his face. The three other suspects were described as black, about 6 feet tall, medium build and wearing hoodies, dark colored clothing and with scarfs covering their faces.
ROBBERY, 5800 block of North Kings Highway, March 25, 2:02 a.m. A man entered a convenience store, displayed a knife to an employee and demanded property. The suspect took cash and property and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, between 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches, thin build, and wearing a black jacket with a hood, black ski mask covering his face, dark colored jeans and carrying a black back pack.
