The McLean Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will hold its 45th Annual Used Book Sale at the McLean Community Center (MCC) on Friday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and, Sunday, Sept. 21 from noon to 4 p.m.
The Friday through Sunday, Sept. 19-21, AAUW Book Sale is well stocked with tens of thousands of books plus hundreds of musical CDs as well as DVDs of television series and movies.
The McLean Area AAUW is grateful for the ongoing support of the SunTrust Bank East Vienna which has provided facilities to allow AAUW volunteers to spend thousands of hours receiving, sorting and temporarily storing the more than 1500 boxes of books, CDs and DVDs received this year and also thanks the McLean Community Center for its support. Funds raised last year from the Annual Used Book Sale, will contribute both to scholarships for deserving local women and to science, technology, engineering and mathematics fairs and leadership training for local elementary and high school girls.
