The Alexandria Police Department has charged an 18-year-old Alexandria man with robbery and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. He is being held without bond.
The robbery occurred in the unit block of S. Van Dorn Street on Saturday, Oct. 4. At approximately 6:30 p.m., a man and woman met with another woman to buy a phone from an online advertisement. The couple was then confronted by two men, one who brandished a weapon and robbed the victims of their valuables. The three suspects then fled the area.
