Chantilly — Cesar Chavez-Martinez from Mountain View High School and Cherry Takawi from Chantilly High School were honored as Apple Scholars by Apple Federal Credit Union. Each student received a $4,000 scholarship at a gala breakfast celebration on May 29.
Scholarships totaling $144,000 were awarded by Apple FCU to a total of 36 high school seniors from nine counties.
This year’s 36 “Apple Scholars” were selected from more than 400 applications that were reviewed by a committee of 30 judges from the Apple FCU membership community.
