Del. Bulova to Hold Saturday Morning Coffee

This Saturday, Sept. 28, Del. David Bulova (D-37) will continue a tradition started in 2006 by holding the first in a series of informal office hours to take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Constituents are invited to talk about issues of interest and to ask questions about legislation affecting their community. The format is casual and no appointment is needed.

*Sept. 28 and Dec. 7 at Main Street Bagel, 10268 Main Street, City of Fairfax;

*Nov. 9 at Jireh Bakery and Café, 13848 Lee Highway, Centreville.

Del. Bulova is also happy to arrange individual appointments on specific issues or concerns.

Bulova represents Virginia’s 37th District, which includes the City of Fairfax and parts of surrounding Fairfax County out to Centreville. He has a professional background in environmental and water resources planning and currently serves on the Committees on Education, General Laws, and Agriculture, Chesapeake, and Natural Resources. He is a member of the State Water Commission, the Joint Commission on Health Care, and the Housing Commission.

Fair Lakes Fall Fest

The Fair Lakes Fall Fest will be held this Saturday, Sept. 28, from 1-4 p.m., across from Dick’s and Kohl’s in Fair Lakes Circle. This family-friendly event includes food, games, fun and lots of activities for children.

Firefighters Wear Pink, Purple

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department personnel will don pink shirts from Oct. 1-14 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and then wear purple wristbands in support of Domestic Violence Month, from October 15-31.

For the latter event, firefighters will wear purple wristbands with the message, “Speak Out to End Domestic Violence,” on one side, and “Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department,” on the other.
