MCC to Hold Two Meetings on Budget
The Governing Board of the McLean Community Center (MCC) will hold two meetings on its Proposed FY 2015 budget in September. A finance committee meeting of the Whole and a Public Hearing will be held beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept 16, at the center, which is located at 1234 Ingleside Ave.
MCC’s Treasurer Craig Richardson, who is chair of the Board’s Finance Committee, will chair the Finance Committee Meeting of the Whole. During the meeting, board committees will present their recommendations on how to finance center programs and events for FY 2015, which begins July 1, 2014 and ends June 30, 2015. The full board will discuss the recommendations and consider revisions to the budget proposals.
Copies of the proposed budget will be available at the center’s reception desk, on the center’s website, www.mcleancenter.org and at the meeting. District residents who have suggestions, comments or concerns will have an opportunity to voice them at the meeting. In addition, residents who call the center to announce their intentions to attend the session will receive a budget package when they arrive.
The Public Hearing will be held immediately following the work session. Residents may continue to submit written comments after the public hearing, until the board meets at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, to approve the FY 2015 budget.

A Meeting on McLean Central Park
On Monday, Sept. 23, 7 p.m., the Fairfax County Park Authority will hold a public meeting to present changes to the McLean Central Park Master Plan, made in response to comments from the June 2013 public meeting and afterward.
The event will be held at the McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean.
In fall 2012, the Fairfax County Park Authority initiated revisions to the master plan that will serve as a guide for the future vision of McLean Central Park.
