The Fairfax County Food Providers Network — comprised of representatives of more than 15 area local nonprofits that address food insecurity with food pantries and related programs — met on Feb. 25 at United Community Ministries in Alexandria to tour UCM’s newly upgraded client-choice Cynthia Hull Food Pantry. UCM’s food pantry welcomes donations on nonperishable food items at 7511 Fordson Road in Alexandria every weekday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., as well as the first Sunday morning of each month.
