Mrs. Joyce Marie Scott, 80, died on Feb. 26, 2013. She was a life-long resident of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard G. Scott, her parents Samuel and Mamie Louise Owen of Alexandria, a brother Samuel Owen Jr. of Florida and her sister, Mrs. Shirley O. Ramey of Warrenton, Va.
She leaves behind two sisters, Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) West and Mrs. Mary Simpson both of Colonial Beach, Va., and a brother, Mr. Ashby Owen of Alexandria. Also many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on March 9 at 2 p.m. at the Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria.
