Theresa Marie Patchan “Terre” of Burke died Wednesday, April 3, unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. She is survived by her husband Peter D. Patchan; and her children, Amibeth (Benjamin) Griffin, and Peter T. Patchan. Terre is the daughter of Thomas and Florence Staker; sister of Thomas, Patricia, Cathleen, Steven and Jane, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one grandchild, Natalie. She retired after 30 years as a teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools. Friends called at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax on Sunday, April 7. Mass of Christian Burial was held at Church of the Nativity of our Lord, 6400 Nativity Lane, Burke, on Monday, April 8. Interment followed at Fairfax Memorial Park. In Terre's honor, donations may be made to Cherry Run Elementary Library, 9732 Ironmaster Drive, Burke.
