Arlington The Langston-Brown and Lee Senior Centers will host a Retirement Fair on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Langston-Brown, located at 2121 N. Culpeper St., from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Dr. Ralph Sklarew, founder of SilverLearners, will demonstrate benefits of owning an electronic tablet for seniors. The Medical Team, Inc., represented by Patricia Sands, will discuss the responsibilities of the Sandwich Generation, sharing tips on time management, finding resources and coping with dual caregiving roles. AARP representatives will be on hand to answer questions about current and future Medicare issues.
Rock Spring Garden Club members Renee Bayes, Julie Wadsworth and Dorinda Burroughs will demonstrate floral arrangements and designs. Dan Manning, executive chef of The Fountains at Washington House, will present a cooking demonstration featuring decadent chocolate desserts.
