Mount Vernon — The Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce’s Sizzling Summer Networking was hosted by the new Candlewood Suites on Richmond Highway on Aug. 23.
Chamber Chairman Michael Gailliot welcomed guests by saying that they were part of a special group. “You are the group that keeps everything going while others are out of town in August,” Gailliot said to the laughter of those present.
June Priesner, director of sales for Baywood Hotels, welcomed guests and gave away a two-night stay at the Candlewood Suites. Chamber members enjoyed tours of the new suites with complete kitchens and laundry facilities. Other Baywood Hotels on Richmond Highway include the Holiday Inn Express and Springhill Suites by Marriott.
