Lake Thoreau’s Boat Party, on Sunday, Aug. 26 consisted of various boats from the Lake Thoreau community tied up in the middle of the lake for a social gathering with friends and neighbors. At the party persons move from boat to boat, sharing food and conversation. In addition, a live band plays from a dock boat, and another boat is cleared out for dancing. This year's band was Turtle Recall.
