After two weeks of campaigning for Student Council Association officer positions, the Churchill Road student body held its general election. Thanks to the efforts of technology teacher Jordan Craig-Kuhn and SCA sponsor Sharon Jones, the students were able to vote electronically, mimicking the format used in official government elections. This election was the first opportunity for first graders to vote. In the words of Churchill first grade teacher David Suchoski, “The first graders were proud to be part of the election process, and if their enthusiasm was any indication, they will not miss any future opportunities to cast their votes.”
