A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, will kick off the McLean Woman’s Club’s 46th annual Holiday Homes Tour at the first tour house, 616 Live Oak Drive, in the River Oaks section of McLean. Attending will be representative to the Virginia State House of Delegates Barbara J. Comstock, who is the honorary chairman of the event, as well as other officials. The tour will continue until 3 p.m.
The house on 616 Live Oak Drive, a large, red-brick mansion, can be reached by taking Old Dominion Drive northwest from central McLean, bearing right on Balls Hill Road, crossing Georgetown Pike, passing Benjamin Street on the right, turning left across a Beltway bridge, turning right on Live Oak Drive, and continuing about a quarter mile. Ample street parking is available.
