The Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club celebrated the beginning of its 60th year of community service on Oct. 17 with an induction of new officers and board of directors by the Division Lt.-Governor John Crawford. After the dinner at the Mount Vernon Country Club, Crawford swore in Perry Leonard as president, Jack Dobbyn as vice president, Vivien Peterson as secretary, Amber Gould as assistant secretary, Stephen Vajs and Greg Engelking as co-treasurers for the 2012-2013 fiscal year. He also swore in Don Reynolds, Betty Puscheck, Rich Keil, Ken Smih, Bruce Malkin, Lee Palmer, and Herb Puscheck as members of the board.
