HILLTOP PARTY
Those party-loving people on Hilltop Terrace celebrated Memorial Day with a large gathering. Clam and Amy Lorenz, aided by children Charlie and Jay, and the Shriver family — Elaine Gort and Alex Shriver with Jake and Josh — organized the party.
Jinny Hines Parry and her family remembered many happy Wolf Trap picnics on previous Memorial Days.
KEIRA SINGS
That very talented Keira Moran has written several new songs and will perform them at the Celebrate Fairfax event. Pat Benatar is the headliner for that performance which will be at Fairfax Government Center at 3 p.m. on June 10. Keira will also sing her songs at the Black Potato Festival up in Clinton, N. J., at which the headliner will be Buckwheat Zydeco from New Orleans.
Moina Ratliff and I got together and reminisced about the days when the holiday was called Decoration Day and people went out to cemeteries and put flowers on their relatives' graves.
