Obon Festival. 5:30 p.m. Ekoji Buddhist Temple is celebrating its 31st Obon Festival with a full-evening of activities including traditional Japanese folk dancing, a memorial candle ceremony, children’s games and a taiko performance by Nen Daiko. A costumed interpreter will lead the program, adding to the authenticity of the experience. Participants will practice penmanship, wash clothes, churn butter, and make ice cream.
