David Williams of Alexandria bought and scratched a Casino Royale ticket from the Virginia Lottery. It turned out to be the game’s first $1 million ticket. He purchased it at
Bostons Restaurant, 7375 Boston Blvd. in Springfield, where he’s a regular customer. The $1 million prize is an annuity paid out over 25 years; he chose to take the cash option of $575,000 before taxes. Williams, who works as a senior trainer, said he will use the winnings to become debt-free and save for retirement. Three $1 million tickets for Casino Royale are yet unclaimed.
