Jean Hirons, an adjunct professor at Montgomery College, explores the love of "a house by the sea" in her show Shore Houses. The houses range from the Mid-Atlantic coast to the rugged and disappearing coastline of California. The pastel paintings depict houses beaten by the forces of wind and fog, but lovingly maintained over time.
