<b>Q: What was the most fun you had during the recent snowstorm?</b>
A: I was pretty sick during the [snowstorm]. But probably the most fun was the night of the Super Bowl [XLIV] because all of my friends were together at my friend Libby’s house. … It was so much fun.
<b>Q: At what age did you start swimming and were a natural?</b>
A: I started swimming when I was 2. … My mom tells me stories of when I was around 5 or 6 and I was having group lessons at the pool. I would actually sneak into my sister’s lessons because I loved being in the water so much.
<b>Q: What is the farthest you have traveled from the Washington, D.C. metro area?</b>
A: Saint Thomas [Virgin Islands] or the Bahamas. It was my grandma’s 50th birthday party. It was a weeklong cruise my entire family went on. It was so much fun.
<b>Q: What are your plans for after high school?</b>
A: I plan on attending the University of Delaware on a swimming scholarship. … I plan on majoring in education like my mom and sister and hopefully becoming an elementary school teacher.
<b>Q: What are you most looking forward to about the transition to college?</b>
A: I’m actually kind of nervous because it’s just so new. It’s an exciting kind of nervous. My sister [Kristen] is off to college and she tells me how much fun she has. … It’s a new chapter [in life]. … [Kristen] swims at JMU. Maybe our teams will face [each other next year].
