Old Bike Collection: Boy Scout Eagle Project. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Oakton Shopping Center Parking lot, 2858 Hill Road, Vienna. Useable bikes will be collected for Bikes for the World, to be shipped to developing countries for transportation to jobs, school and health services. Community Shred. 11 a.m. at the Vienna Shopping Center, at Maple Ave. and Courthouse Road in Vienna. Free face painting, balloon art and sno-cones. Office paper, manila folders and small fasteners such as staples and rubber bands are acceptable for shredding. Binders, plastic report covers, hanging file folders, cardboard, plastic bags, CDs and DVDs, floppy disks, hard drives and x-ray film will not be accepted. All shredded material will be recycled.
