The Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. held an Inaugural Reception on Jan. 12 for the residents of the Annie B. Rose House in Old Town Alexandria. More than 50 residents arrived for an evening of celebration in honor of the upcoming inauguration of Barack H. Obama and Joseph R. Biden.

The sorority sisters treated the residents to music, dancing, refreshments and a toast to incoming 44th President.

Deborah Walls Foster, President of the chapter, believes this community service activity will be "one of the best things we do all year." Delta Sigma Theta is a sorority founded on serving the community.
