Someone bought a ticket for the Aug. 26, 2008, Mega Millions drawing at the 7-Eleven at 6120 Lincolnia Road in Alexandria. That ticket turned out to be a $250,000 winner. No one has come forward to claim the prize.
According to Virginia Lottery rules, the ticket expires after 180 days, which will occur at 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. The winning numbers for that drawing were 6-16-24-34-36 and the Mega Ball number was 30. The ticket matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. The owner of that ticket needs to contact the Virginia Lottery before the deadline.
