June Smith Suggs, 83, died on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at The Chesapeake. She was born in Sioux Falls, S.D. and formerly resided in Pascagoula, Miss. and Alexandria, Va. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly.
June was a 1943 graduate of Pascagoula High School in Mississippi and later a fiscal clerk at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
June was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert "Bob" Suggs, Jr.
Survivors include a son, Robert Christopher Suggs and his wife, Amy, of Alexandria; three daughters, Carole Anne Ingell and her husband, David, of Newport News, Linda Leigh Beasley and her husband, Brett, of Bristow and Pamela June Kohler and her husband, Brian, also of Alexandria; and seven grandchildren, Benjamin and Andrew Ingell, Christina and Danielle Suggs and Kathleen, Michael and Thomas Kohler.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009, at Mount Comfort Chapel Mausoleum, Alexandria.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
