St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church will celebrate and give thanks for its 140 years as part of the Herndon community on Sunday, Nov. 2. Regular services will be held at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11 a.m. and a service of Choral Evensong for the Feast of All Saints will be sung at 5:00 p.m. in the church, now located at 432 Van Buren St. in Herndon.

Robert Smith Jr., Professor of Christian Preaching at Beeson Divinity School, will be the keynote speaker on Sunday, Nov. 2 at Heritage Fellowship Church's temporary location – 13515C Dulles Technology Drive, Herndon. Dr. Smith's first message is at 7:45 a.m., with the second at 10:45 a.m., followed by a book signing.

Southview Baptist Church, 2620 Reston Parkway, Herndon, is holding its annual Alternative Gift Market and Crafts on Sunday, Nov. 2, 4:30-6 p.m. Shoppers will purchase items from the ministry tables to donate to specific ministries around the world. Visit www.southview.org or call 703-860-8800.

Every Wednesday at 12:15 p.m., St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 432 Van Buren St. in Herndon, offers a lunch-time Healing and Holy Communion service. This half-hour service is offered to all and allows people an opportunity to worship during the work week when they may be away from their regular church. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive the Sacrament, and all who have not been baptized may receive a blessing at the Altar rail. Knitters needed the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7 p.m. at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 432 Van Buren St., Herndon.
