The <b>T.C. Williams Titans</b> won their second game of the season last Friday night, defeating Hayfield, 38-28.
Senior all-purpose back Dominique Copeland was the catalyst for the Titans, breaking off touchdown runs of 35 and 44 yards in the first half, and closing out the game with a 51-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter. For the game, Copeland finished with 128 yards on just five carries.
Senior running back Abu Kamara added 95 yards and a touchdown on the ground. T.C. Williams moves on to face West Springfield this Saturday in a home game scheduled for 1 p.m.
The <b>St. Stephen’s/St.Agnes Saints</b> football team got back on the winning track this weekend, trouncing visiting Bullis, 31-0, to improve to 5-1 this season. The Saints had lost for the first time this season in their previous game against Bishop Ireton.
Senior Drake Hudgins finished with 89 rushing yards, including a 75-yard touchdown to get the scoring started for SSSAS in the first quarter. The Saints take on Landon next Saturday.
The <b>Alexandria Sportsman’s Club</b> will hold its annual Redskins night on October 21. The meeting will be held on the lower level of the Old Dominion Boat Club and is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Several current and former Redskin players will be in attendance and the public is encouraged to come.
