Elizabeth Ann Carr of Crumpton, Md., died on Wednesday May 7 at Chester River Hospital Center. She was 74.
Born on Oct. 11, 1933 in Dallas, Texas, she was the daughter of the late William and Ivan (MacMorris) Trousdale. Ann Carr married Robert A. Carr in 1951. She was an antique’s dealer and enthusiast who owned and operated Carr’s Old Town Antiques in Alexandria. While running her shop Mrs. Carr enjoyed meeting new people and making new acquaintances. She lent a helping hand with Girl Scouts for several years and enjoyed playing bridge. Most of all she loved raising her children.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Carr is survived by her four children, Margaret M. Glassman of Vienna, Mary M. Sullivan of Columbia, S.C., Christopher G. Carr of Tarpley, Texas and Clark W. Carr of Leesburg, Va.; and two sisters Margaret K. Bowie of Dallas, Texas and Mary M. Sheehan of Pfluegerville, Texas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
A celebration of her life was held on Wednesday, May 7 at her home in Crumpton, Md. Interment will be private.
