The National Capital Area Scholastic Rowing Association Virginia State Championship was a historic one for the Madison crew team with three Warhawk Boats on the winner’s dock.

The men’s light weight eight rowers kept the lead for the entire 1,500 meters course on the Occoquan, beating Woodson by almost six seconds. They earned gold medals, plus the scholastic rowing trophy – the Brother’s Trophy.

The women’s varsity second four took silver and the women’s varsity first four took Bronze. The men’s varsity first four finished fourth in the petite finals.
