The Hayfield Secondary School It’s Academic Team, led by seniors Laura Murray, Sam Dodbele and Sandro Gvakharia and junior Greg Hyde, represented Hayfield at the district meet recently. The team came in third place overall and second place in total points.

Hayfield Secondary School business teacher Nancy Dolan and her students spent a day recently at the Fairfax County Circuit Court where they witnessed contract dispute cases that correlated with their curriculum.

Hayfield Secondary students won two awards at the Northern Virginia Regional Scholastic Arts Competition:

Hayfield Secondary cosmetology department students Stephanie Cao and Giovanna Herbes won first place in the Nail Competition in the Patriot District championship.

The Hayfield Secondary School theater department performed Dan LaRoque's "Man Woman Flower" at the Patriot District One-Act Play Festival. They tied for second place with Lake Braddock Secondary. Cast members:
