Adoption and the Jewish Family will be Thursday, June 12, from 7–8:30 p.m. at the Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA), 6123 Montrose Road , Rockville. For both prospective and adoptive parents. On Friday evening, June 13, Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac offers Bar-B-Q and Barkhu, a family-friendly outdoor dinner, singing and dancing, and Shabbat worship services, starting at 6 p.m. for dinner, 7 p.m. for worship services. The Chancel Choir of the Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church, 6601 Bradley Boulevard, Bethesda, will perform the World Premiere of "Psalms for Bradley Hills," a new composition written for the choir by member Rick Bassett, during the "Music Sunday" worship service at 10 a.m., June 15. "Prayer Book Hebrew," Tuesdays from 6:45-7:45 p.m. at Congregation Har Shalom, 11510 Falls Road, Potomac. Call 301-299-7087 This is a continuing course for those who have completed a basic Hebrew siddur series of classes using Level I of "Alef Isn't Enough." This course is designed to open the door to understanding the Hebrew of prayers. The fee is $30 in addition to registration fee.
