Bikes for the World will be accepting donations of used bikes at Our Savior’s Way Lutheran Church, at the intersection of Waxpool Road and Claiborne Parkway, Sunday, June 8, from 1-4 p.m. The bikes will be shipped to underdeveloped countries to help people get to work and school. Usable bicycle spare parts and accessories, bike books and bike tools will also be accepted. A $10 per bike donation is also requested to defray the cost of overseas shipping. The Mosby Heritage Area Association is sponsoring a Mosby Ranger descendant reunion for the granddaughters and grandsons of Mosby Rangers, their servants and Colonel Mosby himself. The 2008 edition of the Loudoun County "Guide to Services" is now available. Produced by the Office of Public Information, the guide is a comprehensive handbook of information about services provided by the county government, as well as services provided by other governmental and nongovernmental agencies.
