The Greater Reston Arts Center, 11690 Market St., Herndon, is offering an opportunity to acquire art from the prestigious Sallie Mae collection now through Friday, Dec. 19. A collection of 14 pieces of contemporary fine art, many large scale, is being sold via a silent auction ending Dec. 19 at 5 p.m. All of the proceeds will support GRACE education programs.

A holiday exhibition of original art and gifts titled "Art for Giving" is on display at the Greater Reston Arts Center in Reston Town Center through Dec. 23, Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Alexandra Fomicheva’s exhibit of oil on canvas, acrylic and batik works is on display at the Hunters Woods Community Center, 2310 Colts Neck Road, Reston, until Dec. 30. Fomicheva is a Reston resident but grew up in Russia.

Photographs by Northern Virginia photographer Lillis Werder are on exhibit at Washington Dulles International Airport through December. Two series of work by the artist, "Washington DC War Memorials" and "Venice, Italy" are on display. Visit www.gallery222.com or www.loudounacademy.org.

Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C., in association with Galerie Brigitte of Reston, presents an exhibit of modern lacquer, Vietnamese paintings, "Blending Traditions: Contemporary Lacquer" by Duong Sen. The gallery,

located on the ballroom mezzanine level of Mandarin Oriental, Washington, D.C., will run the exhibit now through
