Bobby Joe La Fon, age 62 of Sandy Level, Va. and formerly of Arlington died Saturday, Sept. 1. He was born May 16, 1945 a son of the late Lawrence and Clusty La Fon.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and retired from Prince William County Service Authority in Northern Virginia.
Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Judy C. La Fon; his son, Michael B. La Fon; grandson, Joshuah La Fon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Forrest Byrum, Margaret Grimm, Alexandria, Linda Bryant, Nancy and Charles Clyburn, Alexandria; a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services were on Saturday, Sept. 8 with Pastor Travis Gore officiating. Interment followed in Liberty Memorial Cemetery in Sandy Level.
