Visit Clara Barton National Historic Site at Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Blvd., Glen Echo, during September and October and view "The Art of Clara Barton," a gallery showing of artwork depicting Clara Barton, scenes from her life and the National Historic Site. The exhibit will also include Clara Barton’s own artwork. An opening reception on Sept. 15 from 7-9 p.m. will include a Lamplight Tour of the National Historic Site. Montgomery College will celebrate the talents of its fine arts faculty from all three campuses with a joint art exhibit, "Unity and Diversity," through Oct 2. "Unity and Diversity" will be on display at the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery, located in the Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville. A reception with the exhibit’s artists will be held Sunday, Sept. 9 from 1-4 p.m. A talk by the exhibit’s curator, Virginia Mecklenburg, will take place on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. The exhibit and talks are free and open to the public. The Art Glass Center at Glen Echo exhibits continually in the Art Glass Center Gallery. These exhibits feature the work of resident artists Diane Cab, Christine Hekimian, Bev and Zayde Sleph, and Bobbi Vischi. Sculpture, vessels, functional art, and jewelry are also for sale. All exhibited work is made at the Art Glass Center Studio. The Art Glass Center also produces other exhibits featuring resident artists, faculty, students and invited artists.
