Students at Forest Grove were invited to dress according to their heritage Tuesday, Nov. 27, in conjunction with a multicultural story time that morning. First the kindergarten through third-graders, and then the three older classes, filled the school’s gym to hear, and often be part of, stories told by professional storyteller Donna Washington.
Washington gathers traditional tales from around the world and retells them live and in storybooks. Her manic delivery and her calls for audience participation appeared to keep even the youngest children’s attention Tuesday.
