Crate and Barrel hosts an evening of shopping to benefit Life with Cancer, a program of Invoa Health System, 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Tysons Corner store, 1800 International Drive, McLean. A $25 advance donation, or $30 donation at the door, includes one door prize ticket, food and private shopping. Crate and Barrel will donate 10 percent of all purchases made during the evening to Life with Cancer. Join the members of the Great Falls Women's Club at Virginia Stained Glass, 5250 E. Port Royal Road in Springfield for a craft afternoon, Thursday, Nov. 15, 1-3 p.m. The club will meet at Virginia Stained Glass at 1 p.m., and attendees will make a fused glass bowl that can be decorated. The bowl will be professionally fired in a kiln, and projects will be ready in about a week. Snacks will be provided. Cost per person is $25.
