Featuring seven choirs in a soaring musical performance, Chantilly High presents its Fall Choral Concert this Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., in the school auditorium. Tickets are $3 at the door, or those who donated to the school’s Tag Day in September may exchange their donation tags for concert tickets.
All of Chantilly’s choirs will perform, including the Concert Choir, Symphonic Chorale and Women’s Select Choir concert ensembles, under Director Mike Fuchs, plus the Light Touch, Magic Touch and Touch of Class show choirs, under Director Glenn Cockrell. Also singing will be the Advanced Mass Choir.
Selections from the show choirs include: "R-O-C-K in the USA," by John Cougar Mellencamp; "Anything Goes," from the Broadway musical of the same name; "Up Tight," by Stevie Wonder; and "Love Shack" by the B-52s.
The Advanced Mass Choir will sing "And the Glory of the Lord," from Handel’s "Messiah." And the concert ensembles will perform "Give Us Hope" and "Even When God is Silent."
