Early on Sunday morning, May 27, approximately 3,000 motorcycle riders lined up along Fairfax Boulevard in preparation for a group ride to the Pentagon and the National Mall. Members of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 177, sold Poppy Pins to riders in honor the memory of those who served in the U.S. military.
The Fairfax High School Band and Color Guard marched in the parade. The band performed the National Anthem and ‘God Bless America’ during the Opening Ceremony.
The Fairfax Harley Owners Group sponsored the annual Ride of the Patriots group ride as part of the larger Rolling Thunder Memorial Day ride.
