Pedro Rodriguez, 67, died on Saturday, May 12 as a result of the injuries sustained on April 21.when he was struck by a car according to Fairfax County police. Following an investigation, detectives identified the driver of the vehicle which struck Rodriguez. The driver, an 86-year-old man, Roy Irving Brooks, 86, of Seminary Road in Falls Church was charged with felony hit and run. He turned himself in to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on Thursday, May 24.
On Saturday, April 21 at approximately 9:45 p.m., a pedestrian was crossing Telegraph Road near Huntington Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle which fled. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital in critical condition.
