<cal2>The musical production of "Oliver!" returns to Manassas when the Center for the Arts’ Pied Piper Theatre presents its last show of the 2006-2007 season. The play will be presented on Saturday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 20 at 4 p.m. Directed by Vincent Worthington, with music direction by Laura Boyles and choreography by Anne Ridgway, "Oliver!" performances will be at Osbourn Park High School, 8909 Euclid Avenue, Manassas. E.C. Lawrence Park is having a 25th Anniversary celebration this Saturday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will begin with the dedication of an historic marker by the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. There will also be a Civil War re-enactor in costume to share tales from the park's past. Visitors can enjoy a garden tour, watch woodworking and smokehouse demos, and churn and taste butter the old-fashioned way. Farm animals including goats, cows and chickens will be on display. Gather at Sully Historic Site in Chantilly on Saturday, May 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the War of 1812 Muster. Learn how our country defeated the British a second time! In the early 19th century, military musters were a time of recruitment and training for the troops and socializing for civilians. Watch soldiers fire their muskets, then take up a practice musket and drill with the Army. Members of the Maryland Light Dragoons demonstrate how horses were used in battle. Dance to early 19th century tunes, play period games and make a craft to take home. Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children. Fairfax Animal Shelter offers low-cost rabies clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets on Sunday, May 20 from noon to 2 p.m. The Fairfax County Animal Shelter is at 4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax. Rabies vaccinations cost $10 at the clinic. All dogs should be on leashes and all cats in carriers.

Fairfax County 2007 dog licenses will be sold separately at the clinic and cost $5 for altered dogs and $10 for unaltered dogs (bring proof of your pet's spay or neuter).
