Chantilly High School DECA members participated in the 2007 State Leadership Conference in Norfolk on March 9-11 and came away with many honors. The Virginia DECA State Leadership Conference features competitions for individuals, teams and chapters as well as Leadership Development Academies and election for the next year's State Officer Team. Award recipients are listed below.

<bt>The entire chapter was recognized for:
-Largest growth chapter in the state of Virginia (grew by 90 members from last year);
-Fortune 500 Chapter (recognition for being one of the most active and successful chapters in the state).
Nicole Imhof is the current Virginia DECA State Reporter. She had many responsibilities, including public speaking in front of 2,200 DECA members.
Brittany Bradley finished as a runner-up in the Fundamentals of Job Interview event;
* Greg Kodish finished as a runner-up in the Automotive Services Marketing event;
* Kevin Keller finished as runner-up in the Business Services Marketing event;
* Mark Brannock, *Sean Idol and *Callie McGee finished as runners-up in the Learn and Earn Project;
Kat De Boeck and Armina Raeisian finished as top 10 finalists in the E-Commerce Management Team Decision Making event;
*Ava Ataee and *Skylar Korby finished as runners-up in the Financial Analysis Management Team Decision Making event;
* Stephanie Jabaley and *Katherine Quinnette finished as runners-up in the Hospitality Marketing Management Team Decision Making event;
Matt Varley and Kirsten Billard finished as Top 10 Finalists in the Sports and Entertainment Marketing Management Team Decision Making event;
* Emily Justice and *Nicole Imhof finished as runners-up in the Business Law and Ethics Management Team Decision Making event;
* Indicates that a student is eligible to compete at the DECA International Career Development Conference later this year in Orlando.
