The Bethesda Painting Awards is downtown Bethesda’s annual juried art competition that exclusively honors painters. <lst>Beyond the Image Spring Class Exhibit will run through June 24 at the Arcade building in Glen Echo Park. An exhibit by the members of the spring photo class taught by Mark Power. The Art Glass Center at Glen Echo will celebrate its new status as a non-profit corporation with an exhibit in the recently opened Popcorn Gallery at Glen Echo National Park. The exhibit, titled "POSSIBILITIES...," will feature art glass sculpture, vessels, and wall art, created especially for the gallery space by Resident Artists. The exhibit will run through July 15, and there will be an opening reception from 4-6 p.m., June 9. Gallery Hours are Saturday and Sunday 12-5 p.m., and by appointment.
