The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce's "Technology 2012: The Office of Tomorrow, Today" will be held Thursday, Aug. 16, 8 a.m.-noon, at the George Washington University-Virginia Campus, 20101 Academic Way, Ashburn. The chamber's technology coalition will host feature writer Rob Pegoraro at its third annual technology event. Encore Studio of Dance has moved to a larger location, 50-B Pidgeon Hill Drive, a few doors down from its previous location in the CountrySide shopping center.

The studio will be holding a grand reopening Saturday, Aug. 25, from 3-6 p.m., which includes tours of the new studio. The facility now has three state-of-the-art studios, two dressing rooms/restrooms and a lobby with full-service boutique.

The Loudoun Convention & Visitors Association (LCVA) announces that Bill Gibson, business development manager at the National Conference Center, has been elected to the position of chair of the LCVA board as of July 1. Gibson takes over the position from Carol Welti, who has led the LCVA Board for the past two years.

Bowman Consulting announces that Ron Robison has joined the company as a principal and director in its environmental sciences group. Robison brings more than 25 years of experience in environmental assessment, soil evaluation and design of sewage treatment and disposal systems. Robison will be involved in expanding Bowman Consulting’s environmental science group and in establishing the firm’s on-site soil evaluation and design practice.
